I dream to leave this dull world of
Monochromes, blank and false smiles,
A place of dark deceit, all these lies,
Shed my outside layers, look inside,
Become one with my pure inner self,
Fly on light wings through the sky,
A sky unclouded, clear and bright,
To a place of my own imagination,
A place generated from my fantasies,
A place with earth, water, fire, and air,
Cold can be hot, and hot can be cold,
The land of ultimate natural equilibrium,
A place of silver moons and golden suns,
Diamond stars set in a dark velvet tapestry,
Where thunder and lightning are at peace,
Where the grass grows greener without
Any sidewalks or gutters to restrict it,
Flowers can grow, fruit can ripen slowly,
Without any need for genetic mutation,
A place where the dandelions are not
Picked to make wishes come true,
But each represents a wish already fulfilled,
A place where clovers can have six leaves,
Where all weeds are flowers, and no flowers
are weeds, they are equally valuable,
Where umbrellas can fly, socks can dance,
Where jellyfish float through the sky,
And light up the night like a thousand
Colorful and frilled swirling lanterns,
Clouds can be any color in the world,
Cultures are free to mingle and share,
Where gemstones can grow on the bushes,
Papers grow in neat rows in the country,
No ink or marker makes a permanent stain,
And the pen is mightier than the sword,
Waterfalls contain eternal rainbows,
Lakes capture the essence of moonlight,
Puddles are pools of molten gold,
All the trees grow strong and proud,
In the summer with leafy greens and
Winter with its silver cloak and mantle,
The rain is always warm, the snow is soft,
This land is a place without streets,
No hard cement or darkened asphalt,
Only the spaces that were intended to be,
This place is populated by creatures
Who coexist, mutually beneficial,
Who don't need masks to cover any
Wicked intentions or sadistic thoughts,
Social hierarchy does not exist at all,
People are not bound by white or black,
People don't covet that dirty green,
Their hands are not stained with sin,
Their faces are filled with real emotions,
In this place that I imagine, there is no
Need to hide; everyone can truly see,
This place is my true imagined world,
The question is- can it really exist?
The answer is yes, it exists, it is very real,
Everyone has a dream world of their own,
Mine is here, inside my heart, mind, and soul.

A World Behind My Eyes
A universe,
molded to my desires
and wrapped around my smallest finger,
dances in front of my eyes.
I hold it in my hands,
cupped in front of me,
and it swirls
in shades of blue, silver, purple,
and moonbeams.
Fire and comet tails,
chlorophyll and paradoxes,
all clutched in my open palms.
I raise mountain peaks,
by plucking the Earth

drown cities,

with just one swift breath,

currents from lost butterfly wings.

Monochrome World
He could never face the world
When all it saw was black and white.
He always knew that he was something else,
Maybe orange, green, or navy blue,
Though he never knew exactly what.
Sometimes, he thought he might be
A blend of everything
Or just a few.
But he knew that he did not belong
That no one would accept a passionate sunset
Or an unpredictable sea
When everyone was meant to be a patch of grass
In an abundant open field.
He blamed himself
For being different
And not knowing how to fix it.
And they blamed depression
Typical in teens like him;
In outcasts.
You blamed yourself
For never telling him that unique
